About Equestrian Club
The Equestrian Club of Virginia Tech is a recognized student organization. It is composed of undergraduate and graduate students who have an interest in horses.
The purpose of the club is to:
* Provide a forum for the exchange of information about equine species, their characteristics, and care.
* Sponsor the Intercollegiate Riding Team (IRT) in its competitive riding schedule during the academic school year.
* Allow interested students to organize, participate in or observe equine related activities such as horse shows and clinics.
Other activities the Equestrian Club participates in include guest speakers, trips to the Virginia Horse Center, trips to other shows, and fund raising events such as open horse shows held on campus.
