About Ice Hockey Club
The Virginia Tech Ice Hockey Club, formed in the early 1980's, provides an opportunity for Virginia Tech students to play competitive ice hockey at the collegiate level. The team is a member of the American Collegiate Hockey Association and competes against teams from the ACC including Liberty, UNC, UVA, NC State, Georgetown and Duke. Along with competing against other teams within the nation. The team carries a roster of approximately 30 players. Home games are played on weekend evenings at the Roanoke Civic Center in Roanoke. All skill levels are welcome to attend tryouts at the beginning of the hockey season. If you are interested in trying out please visit www.hokiehockey.com and fill out a recruitment form.
