About Men's Rugby Club
For the 2009-2010 season operations of the Men's Rugby club has been suspended until Fall 2010. Rugby is the world's fastest full-contact sport without padding, combining skills from soccer, football, and basketball. Founded in 1968, the Virginia Tech Men's Rugby Club has had a winning tradition for more than 40 years. If you are looking for an action- packed time, try out for the club; no experience is necessary. The Men's Rugby Club plays a fall and spring schedule.The club is divided into DI and DIII teams. The club competed in a 1999 national tournament and earned a top ten ranking.
