Tennis Courts
Washington St and South Rec Fields (SRA) Courts
- Twelve outdoor, lighted tennis courts located on Washington St. are available to students, faculty, and staff. The courts were resurfaced, re-netted, and re-fenced in Summer 2009.
- Six outdoor tennis courts were constructed Summer 2009 on the South Recreational Fields (SRA). These courts are lighted and available for open recreation.
- These courts are also utilized by the sport club tennis teams and for instructional programs.
- It is important to note that all tennis courts are for tennis ONLY, and no other sports are permitted on the courts.
- Organizations who wish to reserve the courts should contact Chad Kropff at chadk66@vt.edu.

McComas Hall Construction and Expansion

Concrete footings underway; entrance stabilization beginning.
The concrete subcontractor has been onsite for a week and has poured a substantial portion of the footings for the rear of the expansion. This week, a geotechnical subcontractor is beginning drilling for stabilizing the main entrance to the gym. This may result in loud noise/vibrations inside the main entrance area.
Swipe, Sweat & Win Incentive Contest
Work out at least 3x or more a week this fall at either War Memorial Hall or McComas Gym to be automatically entered into the drawing. Two weekly winners will be selected and each winner will receive a $10 prize from Blockbuster, Famous Anthony’s, Maggie Moo's or Squeaky’s Laser Wash Car Wash. Winners will be notified by email.
