Virginia Tech Golf Course Policies

1. All players must register prior to playing.


2. Each player must have a set of clubs and a bag. Clubs may be rented at the pro shop.


3. No more than four players are allowed in a group at any time.


4. Motorized carts must remain on the street side of the parking lot chain link fence. 90° rule in effect: remain on path or in rough until reaching ball; cross fairway; return to path or rough after shot. Carts must be kept at least 30 feet from all greens and tees and return to the path or rough upon reaching white posts at each green. There is a maximum limit of two people per cart. Operators under the age of 18 must possess a valid driver's license.


5. No alcoholic beverages are allowed on the premises.


6. The dress code prohibits abbreviated forms of attire such as tank tops and short shorts. Shirts and appropriate shoes must be worn at all times. Shirts with messages that may considered offensive by other players are not appropriate.


7. A four-hour round is the standard for the Virginia Tech Golf Course. Starters/Marshals will monitor the pace of play. Slower players will be required to allow others to play through.


8. Please rake sand traps, replace divots, and repair ball marks (yours and others) to make the course more enjoyable for everyone.
