War Memorial Hall Features


War Memorial Gym commemorates the alumni that fought and died in WWI. The gym provides students, faculty, and staff an area to pursue many different sport and recreational activities, such as racquetball, basketball, aerobics, and swimming.

Many areas may be reserved for special events, student activities, and university programs. Reservations can be made online by clicking on the reservations tab. NOTE: there may be a fee for your reservation

Racquetball Reservations are handled by the equipment room. You must either sign up in person, or call 231-7086. You can not sign up online.

Summer McComas Access

If you are not enrolled in summer sessions, students can pay $47 per session or $94 for both sessions to use McComas Hall. Visit 142 McComas Hall for more details or to purchase summer access.


Swipe, Sweat & Win Incentive Contest will continue for 2009-2010!

Work out at least 3x or more a week this fall at either War Memorial Hall Hokie Gym or McComas Gym to be automatically entered into the drawing. General MRSA Information

The attached flyer provides basic information about MRSA, how to identify a possible MRSA infection, steps you can take to protect yourself, and a listing of the activities Rec Sports are involved in to protect and educate the users of our facilities.
