- Location: Squires CommonWealth Ballroom
- Cost: FREE to all Faculty & Staff
- Make sure to try out the sample fitness classes there
Benefits of Fitness Testing
- Provides baseline information to help you desgin a safe and effective exercise program based on your level of physical fitness.
- Provides a standard from which progress can be monitored and evaluated.
- Allows you to set goals that are reasonable, measurable, and attainable.
- Allows preliminary screening to make sure you are safe to begin exercise.
Physical fitness encompasses the following health-related components:
- Cardiorespiratory endurance
- Body composition
- Muscular strength
- Muscular endurance
- Flexibility
- Your resting heart rate and blood pressure
