The Graduate School has partnered with VT Recreational Sports to offer two Fitness-Wellness Fairs each academic year.
Graduate Fitness-Wellness Fair
Raffle prizes such as ... heart rate monitors, swiss balls for your ab workouts, and pedometers! Find out how "fit" you are at the FREE Graduate Fitness Assessment. NO sign up needed, just walk up anytime between 4-7:30pm. VT Personal Trainers will be conducting the fitness assessments and you will leave with some exercise ideas. This assessment will take 45 mins.

Benefits of Fitness Testing
- Provides baseline information to help you desgin a safe and effective exercise program based on your level of physical fitness.
- Provides a standard from which progress can be monitored and evaluated.
- Allows you to set goals that are reasonable, measurable, and attainable.
- Allows preliminary screening to make sure you are safe to begin exercise.
Physical fitness encompasses five health-related components:
- Cardiorespiratory endurance
- Body composition
- Muscular strength
- Muscular endurance
- Flexibility
- Your resting heart rate and blood pressure
