Running Club Rules & Safety


  • On each Tuesday, the group will meet at Champs Restaurant at 5:30pm. We will provide a key bucket if you would like to leave your keys at Champs so you don’t have to run holding them. Sign in on the clip board. New runners/walkers must sign a waiver before their first run.
  • To be included on the email list, sign up to receive club announcements and upcoming events. We will also communicate through www.411fit.com and www.facebook.com on our group pages.
  • All club member can enjoy free appetizers for an hour after the run on Tuesday nights. Other specials will be sent out via email.
  • Parking is limited - we encourage you to find a spot at Squires, downtown, parking garage in Kent Square, or other near-by lots.
  • When passing other runners and walker, please say "on your left" then pass to the left of that person. Be courteous.
  • This is not a race so roads will not be closed. Watch for cars and bikes while you are crossing intersections. Be aware of traffic around you. Do not assume traffic will stop for you. Drivers may not see you at all.
  • We encourage you not to run with ipods or mp3 players when running in big groups.
  • Wear bright colors or reflective runner gear when running in night time or low-lit daytime. You could carry a flashlight with you to be safe.
  • Take care of your ankles and watch for holes in the ground. Since you will be running in groups, alert runners behind you that a hole is ahead by saying "hole."
  • We encourage you to use sidewalks along the route.
