War Memorial
Equipment available:

  • Basketballs, volleyballs, wallyballs
  • Racquetball safety goggles
  • Racquetball, squash, and badminton racquets ($1.25 rental fee)
  • Racquetballs  ($1.50 each), squash balls ($2.75 each), and badminton birdies ($2.25 each) can be purchased
  • Racquet stringing is available at the equipment room (fees vary)

Please go to the equipment room, located outside the cardio room, to check out and rent equipment. A Hokie Passport is required to check out equipment and is the ONLY payment accepted. You can reach the equipment room at (540) 231-7086.

Weight belts are available in the weight room.

1-day guest passes are $5

Court Rental:
Racquetball, squash, and wallyball courts can be reserved by calling (540) 231-7086 or stopping by the equipment room.

Services for Patrons with Disabilities

War Memorial Hall
War Memorial Hall has a number of facility items accessible to patrons with disabilities. The entire facility is ADA accessible except for the dance/aerobics studio on the lower floor, which requires navigating seven steps.

  • Pool has a chair lift for those unable to enter the water on their own
  • Accessible locker rooms for showering and changing
  • Accessible racquetball court
  • Variety of exercise equipment accessible, including an arm ergo meter

McComas Hall
McComas also has many facilities accessible to patrons with disabilities. The entire facility is ADA accessible.

  • Pool has a chair lift and graded access ramp with handrails for assisted entry
  • Accessible locker rooms for showering and changing
  • Variety of exercise equipment accessible, including an arm ergo meter, currently located on the third floor near the elevator

Virginia Tech Recreational Sports also offers personal training programs for individuals desiring personal assistance and guidance in developing a program, or learning new ways to utilize equipment.
