Golf Maintenance Assistant
Position Description:
The Golf Course Grounds Laborer is responsible for the upkeep and maintenance of the Virginia Tech 9-hole golf course.
Job Functions:
- Mowing greens, tees, fairways and roughs
- Raking bunkers, changing cups, trimming,etc.
- Perform additional tasks as assigned
Minimum Qualifications:
- Experience with various pieces of landscaping equipment preferred, but not required
- Upon hire, employee will be required to take three online training courses administered through Virginia Tech Environmental Health & Safety
- Must be able to work mornings and occasional weekends
The maintenance team begins no later than 7 a.m.
Pay Rates: $10 - $11/hour
Hiring Timeline:
Season runs from March-December. Hiring begins in March.
