Intramural sports are played on campus among students, faculty, and staff. Intramural sports provide exercise, recreation, competition, and fun to all participants in a relaxed, yet structured environment. Intramural sports keeps the thrill of competition within its limits and places emphasis on having fun, good sportsmanship, and fair play among all teams and individuals.

Intramural sports are a great way to play a sport you love or to try something new – no experience is necessary! All you have to do is purchase a intramural membership for $20 and you can play any sport all year long. We offer everything from horseshoes and chess to racquetball and dodgeball to flag football and softball. Try out all of them!

Teams and organizations join in the quest for the Hokie Grail, awarded annually to the All-University Intramural Champion based on a point system. When you register for intramural sports, be sure to ask how you can be a part of the Hokie Grail action.
