Idea Submission Application

Event Description:  

Rec Sports is looking for creative ideas from ambitious students and employees to advance our mission of providing inclusive and top-quality offerings to the Virginia Tech community. Inspired by the show "Shark Tank," ideas will be pitched to a panel of professional staff ("sharks"), allowing us to hear and value the voices of those we seek to serve.  

Event Details:  

Ideas (pitches) should be sent initially via Google Form by Feb. 3rd, 2023. If your idea is chosen to advance to the next round, you will be notified via email and asked to present a 2-5 minute pitch to Hokie Tank's sharks at McComas Hall.

Requirements/ details:

  • Must be a current VT student or employee to participate.  
  • Present individually or in a team and bring any props necessary for the presentation.  
  • Do not focus on the economic logistics of your idea but rather on the idea itself. Dream big! 
  • The application deadline is on February 3, 2023, at 5 p.m. and you will be notified by Monday, Feb. 6th if you have been selected. The Hokie Tank event will be held on February 24th for those who have been selected to participate.
