Golf Course Policies

• All players are required to register in the Golf Shop prior to play.
  • All Virginia Tech students and faculty/staff must present a valid I.D. to receive posted rates. Annual pass holders must have their passes and a picture ID with them at all times.
• Each player must have a set of clubs and a bag (no sharing permitted). Clubs may be rented at the golf shop.
• No more than four players are allowed in a group at any time. 
• No alcoholic beverages are allowed on the premises.
• The dress code prohibits abbreviated forms of attire such as tank tops and short shorts. Shirts and appropriate shoes must be worn at all times. Shirts with messages that may be considered offensive by other players are not appropriate.
• A four-hour round is the standard for the Virginia Tech Golf Course. Starter/Marshals will monitor the pace of play. Slower players will be required to allow others to play through.
• Please rake sand traps, replace divots, and repair ball marks (yours and others) to make the course more enjoyable for everyone
• Motorized carts must remain on the golf course side of the parking lot fence. 90º rule in effect: remain on path or in rough until reaching ball; cross fairway; return to path or rough after shot. Carts must be kept at least 30 feet from all greens and tees and return to the cart path upon reaching white posts at each green. There is a maximum limit of two people per cart. Operators under the age of 18 must possess a valid driver’s license.
• All rental items must be returned 15 minutes prior to closing. 
• Golfers are responsible for damage to the golf course property, rental equipment, golf carts, and off-course property (ex. damage to automobiles or pedestrians on adjoining roadways).
• Failure to abide by the Virginia Tech Golf Course rules or to obey the starter/marshals may result in temporary removal or permanent suspension from the golf course property.
