2023 VT Golf Course Memberships
Annual golf memberships run along the calendar year (January-December) for all audiences. Half-year options are available for all audiences except Juniors. Golf memberships are open to the greater Virginia Tech and Blacksburg community! Some benefits of purchasing a golf membership include:

All golf members are asked to follow these guidelines once they successfully purchase an annual membership:
All annual memberships are required to register at the Pro Shop prior to play.
Members are permitted to play prior to the scheduled opening of the Pro Shop, but must tee off at least 30 minutes before the first scheduled tee time, and must register at the Pro Shop upon completion of play.
Members playing early must yield to the maintenance crews until work is completed on the hole being played.
No early play is permitted until all frost has disappeared and the greens superintendent or Pro Shop staff has given approval.
Members are not permitted to bring guests to play prior to the opening of the Pro Shop.
Members must have their passes and a picture ID with them at all times.

VT Student
- Full-time student Year Pass (Jan 1 - Dec 31) - $350
- Full-time student Half-Year (Jan 1 - June 30) - $200
- Full-time student Half-Year (July 1 - Dec 31) - $200
VT Faculty, Staff, Retirees, Spouse and Dependents
- Year Pass (Jan 1 – Dec 31) - $550
- Half-Year (Jan 1 - June 30) - $300
- Half-Year (July 1 – Dec 31) - $300
- Spouse or dependent of a VT employee, student or retiree VTGC membership holder receives a discount on a full year pass - $450
Alumni and Friend of the University
- Year Pass (Jan 1 – Dec 31) - $650
- Half-Year (Jan 1 - June 30) - $400
- Half-Year (July 1 – Dec 31) - $400
- Weekday Only Year Pass (Jan 1 – Dec 31) - $550
- Weekday Only Half-Year (Jan 1 - June 30) - $300
- Weekday Only Half Year (July 1 - Dec 31) - $300
- Spouse or dependent of an Alumni or Friend VTGC membership holder receives a discount on a full year pass - $550
Junior (18 and under and have not graduated High School)
- Year Pass (Jan 1 - Dec 31) - $350
How to purchase a golf membership online:
All participants who are interested in pursuing a 2023 golf membership should visit connect.recsports.vt.edu to start the process to sign up.
Current Virginia Tech students, employees, or retirees:
- Click the “Log In” button at the top right hand corner of the webpage.
- Log in with your VT PID credentials by clicking the first orange button labeled “Use My Virginia Tech PID”.
- Once you are logged into the portal, please follow the steps below under “Purchasing your Golf Membership."
Spouses/partners (long-term guests) or dependents of a current Virginia Tech student, employee, or retiree:
Must apply for proper identification before pursuing purchasing a golf membership on our online portal. Please visit our "Long Term Guest" portion of this page.
- If you have already pursued a long-term guest or dependent ID card with Rec Sports, please log in to the online portal with your credentials.
Community member or a family member of a community member:
- Create your profile by clicking this link. Once you are directed, please enter your information and create your online profile.
- If you are a community member who has already created an account through the “Sign Up” page, please follow the steps below under “Purchasing your Golf Membership”.
If you have any issues logging on to the online portal, please email recsports@vt.edu for assistance.
- On the main page of the portal, please select the “Golf Passes” icon.
- Click the “Golf Memberships” option.
- Make sure the price of your membership is correct based on the classification you are listed above under “Golf Membership Rates”. If your price is incorrect, please email recsports@vt.edu for the appropriate promotional code.
- Add items to cart and proceed with entering in your card information.
- Once your payment is made, please review the receipt information that was sent to your email on your account. If you did not receive a receipt, email recsports@vt.edu and we will send a copy to you.
- Pick up your Golf membership physical pass at the Virginia Tech golf course pro shop located at 1085 Duck Pond Dr, Blacksburg, VA 24061.
