Senior Stories: Jordyn Jarvis

“This has been the best decision I’ve ever made,” said Personal Trainer Jordyn Jarvis. “I took Weight Training as a scared freshman to learn where everything is and how to use everything, but now, I have found a great place to work ever since.”

Jarvis was hired as a Personal Trainer her sophomore year and has had experience working in Small Group Training and Women in Weights Classes. She has been able to interact with many clients, which has been one of her favorite parts of the job.

“It’s been awesome to have clients and work with some of the same people 1 on 1 over my four years and build those close relationships. The ability to help them succeed and reach their goals has made it all worth it.”

As much joy this job has given Jarvis, there has also been lots that she has learned and grown in.

“Balancing, setting boundaries, and setting time aside to work on yourself is necessary,” Jarvis explained. “I started off taking as many clients and responsibilities as I could, but I came to the realization that I couldn’t do as much as I planned, and everyone is understanding and supportive here.”

Jarvis will be graduating in May and plans to become a Registered Dietician.
